Primary to our mission is the support of ongoing programs for children and adults. These programs include:

Art in the Library
A rotating display of exhibits featuring the artistic endeavors of local artists is on display at the Library. Find out what is showing this month.

Book Sales

Museum Passes
The Friends, the Moms Club of Ashland, and Middlesex Savings Bank provide a variety of museum passes. They can be checked out just like books and offer free or significantly discounted admission. Museum passes may be reserved up to 2 weeks in advance  check with the Library on availability.

Our selection of passes currently includes:

  • Boston Children's Museum - Boston
    Pass admits up to 4 people at $6.00 per person. Parking for an additional fee.
  • Conservation & Recreation Annual Parks Pass
    This pass entitles bearer to free parking for 1 vehicle at over 50 facilities in the MA State Parks System. For information on state parks visit: http://www.mass.gov/dcr/passport/
  • Danforth Museum  Framingham
    Pass allows one person or family group admission at no charge. Not valid for special events.
  • Discovery Museum — Acton
    The pass is sponsored by the Moms Club of Ashland admits 3 people to both the Childrens’ Discovery Museum and the Science Discovery Museum at the following prices: Adults and Children=$5.50, Seniors=$5.00, Children under 1=Free. The Childrens' Discovery Museum is open daily 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and the Science Discovery Museum is open daily 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Both Museums are open and free every Friday from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • Garden in the Woods  Framingham
  • Griffin Museum of Photography — Winchester
    This pass admits up to 4 people.
  • Museum of Fine Arts  Boston
    Pass admits 2 adults, for general admission at $10.00 per person. Parking for an additional fee. Admission for children is free except during school hours when there is a $7.50 fee for ages 7-17.
  • Museum of Science  Boston
    These passes were generously sponsored by the Middlesex Savings Bank.  Pass admits up to 4 people at $7.00 per person. Parking for an additional fee. This is a general admission pass and does not include admission to the Omni Theater, Planetarium, or Laser Show.
  • New England Aquarium  Boston
    These passes are co-sponsored by the Moms Club of Ashland and the Friends. Pass admits up to 4 visitors at $10.00 per visitor.  Admission to IMAX Theatre and parking is extra. This pass is only valid from September through June.
  • USS Constitution Museum  Boston
    Building 22, Charlestown Navy Yard, Boston, MA 02129. Two passes available that admit parties of 9 or fewer for free admission.
